Wine Not, Sake? — Houraisen Pairing Night
3 Sakes. 3 Unexpected Bites. One Legendary Aichi Brewery.
Think sake is meant to be sipped strictly and formally? Think again.
Join us Thursday, September 24 at 6:00 PM for a relaxed, flavor-packed evening featuring Houraisen (Sekiya Brewery) from Aichi Prefecture.
We’ll explore three distinctive expressions of Houraisen side by side — from elegant and aromatic to smooth, savory and refreshing — each matched with a surprise finger-food pairing designed to challenge the way you think about sake and food.
What You’ll Experience
🍶 Kuu — Junmai Daiginjo
An elegant premium expression with beautiful fruit aromatics and a rounded umami character, paired with an unexpected bite that brings luxury and comfort food together.
🍶 Beshi — Tokubetsu Junmai
Smooth, balanced and food-friendly, with gentle complexity and a clean finish. A sake made for pairing and easy enjoyment.
🍶 Wa — Junmai Ginjo
Fresh, vibrant, and expressive with a smooth, balanced finish. Its refreshing character makes it a versatile food-pairing sake and a perfect contrast in our Houraisen tasting journey.
No sake experience required. Come curious, come hungry, and discover just how playful sake pairing can be.
